Wedding Drink Trends

Your wedding is a huge celebration, perhaps one of the most important of your life. For many, a celebration simply isn’t a celebration without a drink or two (or four, or five…) but there’s things to think about, trends to follow and tastes to consider. We’re here to help. We’ve had a think about our favourite drink trends and how you can go about incorporating these into your big day.

Drinks Reception:

The ceremony is over, tears have been shed and nerves have finally softened. It’s definitely time for a drink, something fizzy preferably. For the creative amongst us, we’ve been loving ‘Pimp your Prosecco’ bars. There’s no denying that Prosecco is a crowd pleaser, so why not make it personal? Providing fresh fruit and fruit juices to go alongside your bubbly is a fun, summery twist on a favourite. Elderflower and berries are popular, but the choice is yours. Think of your favourite flavours and do some creating! Top tip: a sprig of thyme makes an excellent garnish.

Wedding Breakfast:

Your sit down meal is perhaps a time for tradition but, nevertheless, still not a time to overlook. Fancy yourself an amateur wine connoisseur? Why not spend time swatting up and pairing your food choices with your wine choices. Seems like an obvious suggestion, but one that only enhances the flavours and heightens the experience you’re spending your hard earned cash on.  If you’re really keen to continue the theme, how about naming your tables after your favourite tipples? If you’re feeling generous, gift the table the bottle of wine they’re named after!

Evening Celebrations:

The cake has been cut, ties have been loosened and the band is in full swing. A fantastic addition that we love for your evening celebration is a Beer Drum. For a more cool, casual vibe for the evening, a Beer Drum is the ideal companion to your casual evening dining choices, a cold beer is exactly what you need while dancing the night away. This is a unique talking point that your guests are going to love.  We can’t think of anything better than a cool beer and a hog roast as the sun goes down. Your guests will thank you!

After Party:

We understand that you probably don’t want your big day to ever end. We can’t make the impossible happen but, here at Wasing Park, we’ve created our very own cocktail menu – perfect for your after party. You can keep the party going with your nearest and dearest at the residents Stables Lounge until the wee hours (when you’ll probably be ready for bed anyway!). Whether you’re a gin lover (who isn’t?) or a fan of a classic, we’ve got you covered. Our favourite is the drink of the moment, the Espresso Martini. A potentially well needed pick me up, that’ll see you through to closing time. If alcohol isn’t what you’re pining for after a long day of making memories, remember there’s always a cup of tea!
