An Intimate Summer Celebration

Elegant, white and exceptionally stylish, the summer wedding of Kirsty and Andrew was truly joyous in every way.

Finding The One

With an August wedding date in mind, Kirsty and Andrew couldn’t decide whether they wanted to have a traditional barn wedding venue or a more contemporary setting. At Wasing Park, they found the best of both worlds!

“The Garden Room is bright and modern which was perfect for the ceremony we had in mind. The Castle Barn is also a perfect balance of modern and rustic. It really is a beautiful blank canvas that can suit so many different themes.” Kirsty

Design and Décor

The happy couple decided to have a white wedding with hint of silver. With a crisp, fresh look in mind they focussed on flowers as their key choice of décor. Intimate and stylish, candle lit walls and centrepieces also created a natural, romantic ambience while blossom trees maintained an elegant sophistication.

“We had a blossom arch at the top of our aisle and blossom trees as our centrepieces surrounded by floating candles. Our name cards were acrylic with silver wording. I wanted every detail to show and, if it was able to be personalised, then it was!” – Kirsty

Bridal Style

The beautiful bride wore ‘Lyra’ by Mori Lee.

“Being a new mum, the fishtail style gave me a lovely shape and made me feel confident. The beading and details over the dress were just stunning and the straps made me feel comfortable without having to cover up.” – Kirsty

She completed the look with Swarovski jewellery, a gift from Andrew, and fabulous Platinum Ice shoes from Jimmy Choo.

Meanwhile, Andrew and his groomsmen hired suits from Country House Menswear in Beaconsfield. Finally, Kirsty’s bridesmaids were stunning in silver-grey dresses by Maya from ASOS and the junior bridesmaids wore jacquard dresses from Angel & Rocket.

Order of the Day at Wasing Park

After getting ready at Wasing Park Farmhouse, the bride and groom were married in the Garden Room in the grounds of Wasing Park.

“Our flower girl and page boy arrived on a white ride-on Mercedes. It was such a lovely touch to the ceremony. They looked adorable!” – Kirsty

With the sun shining overhead, drinks and canapés were served outside on the lawn. Moving into the Castle Barn to dine, a starter of prawn and crayfish cocktail was followed by fillet of beef and a trio of desserts.

“I’m really fussy so Andrew chose the on-site caterer menu. The food was phenomenal and the presentation was stunning.” – Kirsty

Evening Celebrations

As the sun went down, Kirsty and Andrew danced their first dance to ‘From This Moment’ by Shania Twain and a live band filled the dance floor.

“The band really set the atmosphere. We also had a selfie pod which went down well with all of our evening guests and a magician and balloon maker who entertained the children in the evening.” – Kirsty

A fire pit barbecue on the terrace was the perfect choice for evening dining on this summer’s evening, an idyllic finale to a magnificent day.

Memorable Moments

“Saying ‘I do’, cutting the cake and our first dance! My Mum had secretly arranged for us to fly white doves which was such a beautiful moment in our day I had a white feather in the lining of my dress and one under my mums chair so we knew our loved ones were there with us on our day”
